The company AFRICAN STUFF was born out of the incredible humorous artwork called WILDSIDE, by internationally known landscape artist Rose Rigden. The owner of AFRICAN STUFF, Nigel Gilbert discovered WILDSIDE while on holiday in Victoria Falls in 1996. For her own pleasure, Rose has painted 8 images, had them put onto postcards for tourists and when Nigel saw them, he just knew that this was going to be fun.
After WILDSIDE, Rose illustrated four more children’s books for AFRICAN STUFF. The distribution of the quirky STORYTIME AFRICA, also wildlife related children’s books, was a natural fit.
